Arbejdernes Landsbank Cookie Policy
Our cookie policy explains how we use the information you leave behind when you visit our websites.
As an internet user, you should always be aware of the electronic trail you leave behind. A trail that others can use to track your movements online.
The following websites are covered by our cookie policy:
Al-bank.dk and loplus-bank.dk
Our electronic self-service systems AL-NetBank and our app, AL-Bank, for smartphones and tables.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies to collect statistical data to improve both the website and the user experience so they meet the overall needs of our users.
The data we collect is anonymous and cannot be traced back to the individual. The data may be disclosed to our collaboration partners such as a digital agency or advertising agency.
Some cookies are used wholly or partly to increase the chances that adverts you see on other sites are more relevant to you.
Accepting cookies, rejecting cookies and revoking consent for cookies
When you visit a website run by Arbejdernes Landsbank for the first time, you will be shown a banner regarding our use of cookies. We will simultaneously store a cookie on your computer so you will not be shown the banner in the future.
If you do not wish to store our cookie on your computer, delete your browser data via your browser settings. Go to minecookies.org for information (in Danish) on how to delete cookies depending on the browser you are using. If you delete your cookies, the banner will appear again the next time you visit our website.
What happens if I reject cookies?
You can of course use our websites without accepting cookies. However, please read the exceptions in the “Using AL-Netbank” section.
You can also refuse to accept cookies from al-bank.dk by changing the settings in your browser. If you choose to reject all cookies, please note that communication between our website, Facebook, YouTube or Google Maps may not work properly.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file stored in your web browser that is recognised by the website when you visit it again. Cookies make it possible to send individualised information to your browser. Cookies can contain texts, figures or a date, but there is no personal information stored in a cookie. A cookie is not a software program and a cookie does not contain or spread viruses or other malware. Almost every website contains cookies.
Our cookies store some of the following information:
- Which pages you visited, when you visited them and for how long - your “electronic footprint”.
- Which browser you are using e.g. Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
- Your screen resolution e.g. 1920 x 1080 pixels.
- What operating system you are using, e.g. Windows 10, Windows 8 or OS X.
- What type of device you are using, e.g. desktop computer, tablet or smartphone.
- The website you were on before visiting al-bank.dk.
You leave an “electronic footprint” when you browse online. The footprint reveals where you have been. You leave a footprint because your browser relays information to a server - e.g. “I would like to visit www.al-bank.dk”.
Most browsers provide information on the manufacturer and version number, and the server will then return the site you have requested tailored to your browser.
When your browser requests an address, e.g. www.al-bank.dk, it will also send additional information to the server in question, including your IP address (your internet “address”), so the servers know where to send the site you have requested.

Using AL-NetBank (online banking)
In order to provide the best service to our customers, cookies are placed on your computer/tablet/smartphone when you use online banking or our online banking app. Two types of cookies are used:

The other type of cookie contains information regarding how you prefer data to be displayed. For example, how you prefer your budget form to be displayed.
